Share iCloud documents on a Mac
In OS X Mountain Lion apps that support iCloud Documents, there's a new location you can save
files to and open them from: iCloud. After you launch an app that supports iCloud Documents, note
the two tabs at the upper left of the window, as shown in Figure 8-9:

Click iCloud to see existing iCloud documents for this app. Then:
• Double-click a document as usual to open it. As you work on a document, changes are saved automatically to iCloud,
though you can also choose File > Save or press Command+S periodically to create new versions, a feature in OS X Moun-
tain Lion that lets you revert to specific older versions of a document.
• To create a new document, click New Document in the iCloud file list when first opening the app, or simply choose File >
New or press Command+N to open a new document window. Work on your document as normal. The first time you save
it, or if you quit the app or close the window before saving the document, you'll be asked to provide a filename in a set-
tings sheet that appears. That settings sheet also has the Where pop-up menu; choose
iCloud to save it to iCloud,
or choose a local disk or folder to save it on your Mac.
• If you have a document stored locally on your Mac, you can send it to iCloud after opening it. Choose File > Move To, then
choose iCloud in the Where pop-up menu in the settings sheet that appears. Or just click the filename in the title
bar and choose Move to iCloud in the pop-up menu that appears. You can also just drag a file from the Finder into the
