Edit iCloud settings online
The Mail, Contacts, and Calendar apps available on iCloud.com have their own settings that can
be edited by clicking the Settings button ( ) that appears in the upper right of the app screen.
You can also adjust general settings for your iCloud account by clicking your name at the top
right of the home screen. From the dialog box that appears, you can set a new language, time zone,
and the type of notifications you receive when using iCloud.com apps.
Via the Advanced option, you can reset your Photo Stream and remove all your photos from the
iCloud servers but not remove any photos from your computer or iOS devices.
Access iCloud.com on an iOS device
For some reason, possibly to avoid confusion, Apple doesn't allow users to sign in to iCloud.com
from the Safari browser on an iOS device. Fortunately, there is a way around the restriction: Just use
a different browser on your iOS device; this fools the iCloud.com site into thinking you're signing in
from a computer.
I use the Atomic web browser , although there are other options. Atomic allows you to set your
iOS device to appear to a website as a desktop browser, including Safari and Internet Explorer (see
Figure 8-7), which then allows you to sign in as normal and access some but not all the web-only fea-
tures of iCloud. It's not a perfect solution, but it might come in handy as a last resort.
