Reminders and Notes sync across your iCloud devices.
Although the Notes app on iOS devices and Macs works in much the same way, there is a differ-
ence in the Reminders app you should be aware of: On an iPhone or Mac, you can take advantage of
location services to set reminders for when you enter or leave specific locations. This capability is not
available for iPads or iPod Touches.
The Notes and Reminders apps work nicely together. Let's say you've written a shopping list in
Notes on your Mac and set a reminder to do your shopping that triggers on your iPhone when you are
near your local store. After your iPhone alerts you that you need to do your shopping when you are
near that store, you can access the shopping list via the Notes app on the iPhone — the note you
entered on the Mac is synced to the iPhone via iCloud.
Create reminders
On an iOS device, creating a reminder is as easy as setting a date and time or, if you simply want
to add a to-do item to your list, entering text to be stored across all your devices.
1. Launch the Reminders app.
2. Tap the desired list in the iCloud section (Reminders is the default, but you can add more
using the Create New List option).
3. Tap on any blank area in the list below any existing reminders.
4. Type your reminder.
5. On an iPhone or iPod Touch, tap the More button (the > icon) that appears to the right of
your reminder text to open the Details screen. On an iPad, tap outside your new reminder,
then tap the new reminder itself to open the Details pop-over.
