Add a new iCloud calendar
Although you may prefer using one calendar for all your events, you can create multiple calen-
dars that sync between devices. For example, you could create an iCloud calendar for work events
and a calendar for home events. When adding a new calendar, you can also choose to show and hide
different calendars in the Calendar app, as well as on your Mac. That way, for example, you could
have only your work calendar display on your computer so personal appointments are not visible to
co-workers but have all your calendars visible on your mobile devices.
To add an iCloud calendar on your iOS device:
1. Launch the Calendars app.
2. Tap the Calendars button to open the Calendars pop-over.
3. Tap the Edit button.
4. Below the list of your iCloud calendars, tap Add Calendar.
5. Enter a name for your calendar and select a calendar color from the list (see Figure 7-4).
6. Tap the Done button.

You can create additional calendars for iCloud in the iOS Calendar app (shown here) and
Mac's Calendar app.
If other calendar services support multiple calendars, they too will have the Add Calendar option
in their section of the Calendars pop-over.
To add an iCloud calendar on your Mac:
1. Launch the Calendars app.
2. Choose File > New Calendar > iCloud.
3. The Calendars pop-over opens (if it isn't already open), with a new calendar entry labeled
“Untitled” in the iCloud section.
