Share Contacts with a Bump
Bump Technologies has come up with a pretty zany way to share information via your iOS
device. With the Bump app installed, you can send contacts, photos, videos, and more to any-
one using Bump by, you guessed it, bumping your devices together.
Brilliantly, the app works across a number of devices, so you can share with iPhone, iPad, and
iPod Touch users as well as other smartphone types that support Bump. So now, bumping into
someone in the street has a whole new meaning!
Even if you don't have friends to bump with, you can still quickly send pictures to your computer
from your iOS device by bumping the spacebar with it. It's quirky, crazy, but undeniably clever.
Integrate Facebook contacts
Facebook integration, added in iOS 6, allows you to quickly share photos, videos, links, and posts
to Facebook via the Share button ( ) that appears throughout iOS and its apps. By simply adding
your Facebook account in the Settings app on an iOS device, you get this sharing and can receive up-
dates through the Facebook app and in the iOS Notification Center.
Another handy trick that Facebook integration allows is the ability to keep your iCloud contacts
updated with Facebook, essentially matching the contacts stored in iCloud with your friends on Face-
book and making changes to the iCloud contact information when a friend changes their information
on Facebook. It will even update your friends' pictures in the Contacts app if they change their Face-
book profile picture.
Other information pulled from Facebook by apps on your iOS device includes Game Center pro-
files and birthdays in Calendar:
