In-Depth Information
set of images that Apple included in the Apple TV, but you can have it use your Photo Stream photos
or photos shared from your computer via Home Sharing instead.
1. On the Apple TV, go to the Settings screen.
2. Select the Screen Saver option.
3. Select the Photos option in the Screen Saver screen.
4. Scroll down and select either Photo Stream or the iTunes library for the computer that has
shared photos. (That computer must be on and running iTunes for the Apple TV to see it.) If
you select an iTunes library, you can choose any of the albums, folders, or events that you
made available for sharing in iTunes.
5. Click Menu to return to the Screen Saver screen and select any other display options you
want, such as the screen saver effects, how long the Apple TV must be idle before the screen
saver displays, and whether the screen saver appears while the Apple TV is playing music
from iTunes Match, an iOS device, or an iTunes library.
6. Select Preview to see how your settings will appear.
7. Press Menu to apply the changes.
TIP: Using the screen saver with appropriate images when playing music on the Apple TV is a
great way to liven a party. For example, you might play a Christmas music playlist and display family
photos from previous Christmases when people visit for the holidays. Or you might play a person's
favorite music and show childhood images during a birthday party.
