4. Enter a name for the album and click Save in the dialog box that appears. The album now
appears in the albums list in Photos.
To play a slideshow:
1. In the Photos app, select the album you want to create a slideshow from.
2. Tap the picture you want to use as the start of your slideshow; this makes it display in full
screen. Now tap again to show the toolbars at the top and bottom of the interface.
3. Tap the AirPlay button (
) and select your Apple TV from the list that appears.
4. On an iPhone or iPod Touch, tap the Play button ( ) at the bottom of the screen. On an
iPad, tap the Slideshow button at the top of the screen. The Slideshow Options window (on
the iPhone or iPod Touch) or pop-over (on the iPad) appears (see Figure 5-17).
5. On the iPad only, you can select AirPlay in the Slideshow pop-over that appears, in case you
forgot to enable AirPlay previously via the AirPlay button ( ).
6. In the Slideshow Options pop-over, tap Transitions and select a transition effect from the
list of options that appears.
7. If you want music during your slideshow, set the Play Music switch to On and select a song
from your device's music library by tapping the Music option that appears.
8. When you're ready, tap the Start Slideshow button to begin streaming your slideshow to
your Apple TV. The pictures will appear on the TV screen and, if you chose to play music
too, it will play through the TV's speakers or your home entertainment system if you have
one connected to your TV.
