version : An optional attribute that uniquely identifies (together with the href attribute)
the JAR file. See the versioning section for details.
href :The URL (only the HTTP protocol is allowed) that points to the JAR file on the
server. This is a required attribute.
size : An optional attribute that specifies the size of the JAR file, measured in bytes.
part : An optional attribute that specifies the part the JAR file belongs to. (The same as
the jar element.)
download : Specifies when it must be loaded by the JNLP Client. It has two possible val-
ues: eager or lazy .

extension Subelement
The extension element specifies information about the extension to be included in the includ-
ing resources element.
The extension element has three attributes:
name :The name of the extension.
version : An optional attribute that uniquely identifies (together with the href attribute)
the extension.
href :The URL that launches the extension-downloading procedure.
ext-download Subelement
The extension element can contain other subelements of the ext-download type. These ele-
ments specify when different parts of an extension should be downloaded by the JNLP Client.
It synchronizes parts (that is, applications) with component extensions for a better optimization
of their download.
This element has three attributes:
ext-part : Name of the extension part.
download : Specifies when it must be loaded by the JNLP Client. It has two possible val-
ues: eager or lazy .
part : Specifies a part defined in the JNLP file.
j2se Subelement
The j2se element specifies information about the Java runtime environment to use with that
resource.
The j2se element can contain nested resources elements. This nesting is meaningful only at
the first level. j2se elements that are nested in such resources elements are ignored. The
