Summary
After a brief general introduction to the issues related to designing and building ad-hoc deploy-
ment solutions, we focused on some particular scenarios. We tried to provide a useful mix of
common cases and advanced scenarios that will hopefully inspire developers facing complex
real-world deployment challenges.

With this chapter, we finish the second part of this topic. Chapter 8, “A JNLP Quick Launch,”
begins Part III, “JNLP,” which will cover exclusively the Java Network Launching Protocol.
