Agnihotra, thus appears to be a promising scientific,cost effective,
eco-friendly method to counter the ever increasing deadly pollution of
the environment and purify and enrich the environment with healthy
ingredients (Narang, 2007).
Besides the above impact, there are other numbers of evidences where
Agnihotrie's claim that they have been saved from man made disasters and
natural calamaties. Just to quote few instances in Bhoplal, India, where
poisonous MIC gas leaked from Union Carbide pesticide factory is the
site for biggest industrial accoident in the history. In the same area of Bho-
pal, there were many families who practice Agnihotra. They immediately
performed Om Tryambakam Homa and were saved. Like wise report from
Chile wo practice Agnihotra states that while earthquake were destroying
homes and families, where Agnihotra and Homas were performed, people
were saved (Anon., 2014).
Agnnihotra is gift to humanity. Thousands of people from every wake
of life, from every race, religion and creed, perform Agnihotra around
world. We can all focus on health of our great mother earth.
It is pertinent to mention here that the aforesaid experiences on soil,
water and environment of merely Homa Organic Farming. In Homa Jaivik
Krishi, there are other components like habitat management through plan-
tation; rain water conservation, inclusion of legumes in the system, prac-
tice of green manure, auro green crops, crop rotation, use of enriched com-
post, bio enhancers, enhancement of humus content in the soil, all these
factors will be helpful in addition to Homa Organic farming. Thus, there is
need to initiate systematic research on different aspects, develop scientific
data, understand the complete package and try in few specific areas and
after getting fully satisfied it needs assertive promotion.
