(1) The sample used for specimen preparation should be suffi-
ciently large so that a minimum of three similar specimens can be
prepared. Prepare the specimens in a controlled temperature and
humidity environment to minimize moisture loss or gain.

imens of sensitive soils to prevent disturbance to the natural
