We wouldn't recommend
walking to this sophisticated cafe at the top of Maori Hill; luckily it's well worth the
price of a cab. The fancy fare stretches to the likes of venison pie and dry-aged beef. If
you're on a diet, avoid eye contact with the sweets cabinet.

Starfish is the coolest creature in the growing
restaurant scene at St Clair Beach. Pop out on a weekday to score an outside table, and
tuck into gourmet pizza and wine. Dinner is a more sophisticated beast.
