Getting There & Away

AIR

South Island's main international gateway (see the transport chapter for international
flights). The newly modernised and expanded airport has excellent facilities, including
baggage storage, hire-car counters, ATMs, foreign-exchange offices and an i-SITE visitor
information centre.
