Resurrected from the
rubble, C1 has reopened better than ever in a grand former post office that somehow es-
caped the cataclysm. Recycled materials fill the interior (Victorian oak panelling,
bulbous 1970s light fixtures) and tables spill onto a little square. The food, coffee and
service are excellent too.
