10. by “Casilino territory,” i mean the area along the Via Casilina that in ancient times was
called “ad Duas lauros,” once a property of the emperor Constantine, which today is part
of the old Roman Campagna measuring about 140 ha; here, in addition to the archaeological
remains that i have mentioned, is a 12-ha public park called Villa de sanctis, the Centocelle
park, and many private plots with abandoned farmhouses.
