In present chapter, water hammer has been run in pressurized pipeline with the local
leak. The experiments (Figure 1.8b) and numerical analysis results were presented.
When pipeline with local leak was considered, the water hammer phenomenon have
influenced by some additional factors [19]. Detailed conclusions were drawn on the
basis of experiments and calculations for the pipeline with a local leak. Hence, the
most important effects can be observed is that the influence of the ratio of discharge
from local leak has been restricted. The outflow to the overpressure reservoir from the
leak affects the value of wave celerity. (Figure 1.7c)
