9.3 results And discussion
Local leakage effect on high pressure drop in water pipeline. For make decision about
reclamation of leakage in water transmission line, it was investigated the water ham-
mer modeling for three cases at leakage point [6-10]:
• Simulation of pipeline (Figure 8.2) for reclamation numerical analysis of water
transmission line by replace of present reinforced concrete pipe (AC pipe) with
the same diameter of polyethylene pipe (AC pipe-1,200 mm replace with PE
pipe-1,200 mm).
• Simulation of pipeline (Figure 8.3) for reclamation numerical analysis of water
transmission line by lining (push a new smaller diameter pipe into the old larger
diameter pipe-
Push PE pipe-1,100 mm into AC pipe-1,200 mm).
• Simulation of pipeline (Figure 8.3) for reclamation numerical analysis of water
transmission line by replace of present reinforced concrete pipe (AC pipe) with
the larger diameter of polyethylene pipe (AC pipe-1,200 mm replace with PE
pipe-1,300 mm).
