interpenetration (FSI). This model shows the relation between two or many of vari-
ables accordance to fluid transient as a “Dynamic” operating (Table 6.1).
Rapidly closing or opening a valve causes pressure transients in pipelines, known
as water hammer. Valve closure can result in pressures well over the steady state val-
ues, while valve opening can cause seriously low pressures, possibly so low that the
flowing liquid vaporizes inside the pipe. Results showed the maximum and minimum
piezometric pressures (relative to atmospheric) in each pipe in a pipeline as well as the
time and location at which they have occurred [9]. The analysis is helpful in design
to determine the maximum (or minimum) expected pressures due to valve closure or
opening. By investigating the cause of pipe rupture, the model have provided to what
rate of UFW (Figures 6.4-6.5). So it has defined location that water leakage has been
happened on water pipeline due to the water hammer pressure [10-11].
