2.4.1 Bedding and depositional structures in volcanic rocks
In volcaniclastic/pyroclastic rocks and lava sequences, bedding and depositional
features are important to record (Figure 2.8). With bedding the nature of contacts
(for example, sharp - gradational), and the style of the bedding can be recorded
(for example, graded bedding, reverse grading, cross bedded, and so on).
