Summary
This chapter introduced you to the concepts behind capturing user input in a Core
Animation environment. Using the concepts discussed in this chapter, you can build
compelling interactive interfaces.
Although it is easier to develop user interfaces that take advantage of layer-backed views,
you can build the entire interface in stand-alone layers, or build custom layers that get
passed in the mouse and/or keyboard events and allow them to be handled in smaller
chunks than what was demonstrated here.
