Further north the Kornati Islands consist of 140 islands of which around 90 are a protected
National Park and has a unique landscape, history and flora & fauna. The largest of the
group, Kornat, is the closest island to Sibenik and is a popular day trip destination from
Murter Island. Nearby Krka National Park with its waterfalls, lakes and archaeological re-
mains is a must-visit if you're staying in Sibenik.
