25 A strong pH-dependance of catalyst activ-
ity is generally observed in this rhodium-
catalyzed polymerization. Highest activ-
ities were observed at pH 3 [21], and
other authors have used formic acid as a
“cocatalyst” [24]. On a different level, 1,3-
cyclohexadiene also promotes catalyst ac-
tivity [24, 26].
