Earning bonuses and pitfalls
The key bonus type is the color bubble , which is a portion of a specific-colored paint
the player can use for one shot. The character can carry only one bubble at a time,
so by default, he cannot repeat the action. To resolve the puzzles, the player needs
to choose bubbles carefully. There are two types of color bubbles: one-off and re-
newable . In the first case, the character can take a bubble only once; in the second
case, above the bubble, there is a pipe from which a new bubble periodically drips, as
shown in the following figure:
Another type of bonus is the accumulator that rewards the protagonist with some
amount of energy. In other words, it is increases the level of health. Finally, there is a
rare and unique bonus in the game, blueprint fragment , a collectible item that should
be placed by you in those sections of a level that are difficult to access. By collecting
most of them, the player can get a special reward, for example, a solution on how to
defeat the final boss.
The following figure shows the effect of a pitfall on a character:
Pitfalls are based on water: pipes with rushing water (some push the water with
pauses, others run continuously). Their craftiness can be described by the fact that
they flush out all the paint the character has. If he is caught in the rain of water drops,
he cannot take a shot. Nevertheless, sometimes water-based elements can be useful.
For example, the player can lure a hostile robot such as the Welder and easily disable
it.
