42 Walls of Jericho
Described as one of Alabama's most beautiful destinations, the Walls of Jericho
hike will take you past sinkholes and caves and across beautiful blue-green
streams, culminating in a spectacular high-walled limestone canyon with breathtak-
ing waterfalls.
Start: From the hiker trailhead on County Road 79
Distance: 6.4 miles out and back
Hiking time: About 5 hours (add at least an hour to explore).
Difficulty: Moderate out, strenuous back
Trail surface: Dirt and rock-strewn path, two stream fords
Best seasons: Spring and fall
