the yellow-blazed DST. In 100 feet climb down some stone
stairs. The path is narrow, with a mix of dirt and rock footing.
You will be walking above the river with excellent views to your
left (east).
Pass a connector trail to the park's CCC Pavilion on the right
(north). In less than 0.1 mile, there is an excellent view of the
river and rapids on the left (south).

Come to a crossroad. Straight is a 200-foot walk that takes you
next to Indian Falls; right (south) is a 100-foot walk to the banks
of the river and the bottom of Indian Falls. Turn right (north) and
climb several railroad tie stairs. At the top turn left (west) onto
the DST. In less than 0.1 mile, cross Indian Falls on a 50-foot-
long bridge. Just past the bridge, come to a Y. This is where the
loop will rejoin. Take the left fork and follow the yellow blazes
steeply downhill. You will now be walking next to the river with
great views, but be careful, the rocks can be slippery.

Walk past some impressive bluffs and rock shelters on the right
(west). Come to a Y. The yellow DST heads off on the left to the
southeast. Take the right fork and head uphill to the south on
the unmarked trail. In 200 yards the Violet Trail comes in on the
left. Continue to the right (north). This is now the lime-green-
blazed Cabin Trail. You will now be walking on top of the bluffs
you just passed.

Pass behind cabins. There are a few nice views here.

Rejoin the DST at mile 0.9. Follow the yellow blazes back to
mile 0.7.

The blue-blazed Pool Loop Trail will be on your left (northwest).
Turn left here onto the Pool Loop. There is a steep drop to your
right along this narrow trail.
