37 DeSoto Scout Trail
The DeSoto Scout Trail (DST) described here is only a short section of the much
longer 16-mile hike, but along this route you will be treated to a little of everything
that makes the trail special—views, rapids, and waterfalls. The trail begins with a
view of a canyon and the rushing waters of the West Fork of Little River before
moving down to river level, where you will be right next to the foaming blue-green
waters, with a little trip to the 50-foot-tall Indian Falls. The trail is moderate in dif-
ficulty, with plenty of ups-and-downs.
