Mill Shoals Creek flows swiftly on your right (north). Just after
passing a sign indicating you are now in the Cheaha Wilder-
ness, pass a side trail to the creek and in 100 feet pass a short
side trail leading to an overlook into a gorge (the trail may be
overgrown and difficult to find). In another 100 feet cross a
small creek.

Pass through a thick section of mountain laurel. In less than 0.1
mile, cross a seasonal stream.

The trail narrows to less than 1 foot, with a sharp drop-off to the
right (northeast). You will start hearing the sounds of the first
falls.

Just before coming to the first falls, a small runoff stream flows
down. The stream is washing away a portion of the trail. Cross
cautiously. In just a few yards, come to the first waterfall. Cross
the stream to the northeast.

Nice views of the ravine to the right (southeast) in the winter.

Walk through a tunnel of mountain laurel. A nice creek flows on
your right, which you will cross in 100 feet.

Come to the second waterfall. Cross the stream to the south-
east.
