12 Splinter Hill Bog
Located at the headwaters of the Perdido River in a nondescript pine seepage bog is
Splinter Hill Bog. The trail here is an easy hike to what is described as the “most
visually impressive pitcher plant bog in the world.” In early spring you will find
yourself surrounded by literally thousands of the beautiful white-tubed plants. Oh,
and there's plenty of wildlife to view as well.
Start: East trailhead on Splinter Hill Road
Distance: 4.0 miles out and back
