your left.) You are now walking parallel to the interstate.

The trail comes out to an open area with some nice live oak
trees. Walk along the brush line on your right (east) and arrive
at Myers Cemetery. After visiting, the trail continues along the
left side of the chain-link fence that encircles the cemetery to
the north.
1.7
Make a left at the T intersection to the north. In less than 0.1
mile, come to a paved road. Go straight across the road. A sign
on the other side reads C EMETERY L OOP / B EACH L OOP . Reenter
the woods here.
1.8
Come to a Y. Take the right fork down a steep hill to the northw-
est. This is part of the Beach Loop Trail. The trail is now
marked with yellow blazes.
1.9
The trail crosses a wetland over two very narrow, 2-foot-wide
footbridges. The water is only about 6 inches below the
bridges, so this could be underwater after a heavy rain. In less
than 0.1 mile, you will come to a paved road and arrive at
Chickasaw Creek. There are benches and picnic tables here for
you to sit and take in the river. Turn to the left (west) and follow
the road around back to the trailhead.
