2. Because we are converting from Celsius to Fahrenheit, we are moving from
a smaller to a larger number, and 9/5 should be used in the multiplication:
9/5 × 64° = 115.2°
3. Subtract 40°:
115.2° - 40° = 75.2°
Thus, 22°C = 75.2°F.
