Solution:

Then solve for x :
0.9 × 35 = x lb
x = 31.5 lb
The desired copper sulfate dosage may also be expressed in terms of lb/ac copper
sulfate. The following equation is used to determine the pounds of copper sulfate
required (assume that the desired copper sulfate dosage is 5.2 lb/ac):
