HTML5 Markup Language
In this chapter we are going to look at the changes to the HTML markup language that have
been included in the HTML5 specifications. The sample web application will use many, but
by no means all of the new HTML5 tags, and a number of the attributes that have been ad-
ded.
As mentioned above, the term HTML5 refers to both a markup language (a new version of
HTML), and a set of APIs. HTML5 APIs will be covered in later chapters of this topic.
