then defined and slowly built out as the app developed. It is the first time the extensive range of
fonts has been used to such effect in any of

's digital products.

The mechanics of the app are based upon layers. One layer is made up of the section
fronts, so a user can swipe through these to quickly gain an overview of the news.
This is the area that is the most innovative, where most of the design work went, and
that differentiates this app from others. It is the layer that most reveals the hierarchy
