MacMillan Provincial Park-Cathedral
Grove
, a wonderful, mystical
place. The Douglas fi rs inhabiting this
magnifi cent forest, some of which are
over 800 years old, stand almost 80m
tall. Cathedral Grove is considered a
sacred place by Aboriginals.
Coombs
When passing through Coombs, a stop
at the Butterfl y World and Gardens
is an absolute must. The foremost arti-
fi cial butterfl y habitat in Canada, it fea-
tures a man-made tropical forest that
has been laid out in a controlled en-
vironment in order to allow 80 species
of butterfl ies to fl utter about in total
freedom.

Located at the south end of Long
Beach, Ucluelet is a tiny town whose
main street is lined with old wooden
