A 15min ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay

est. Although it feels like you're at the
other end of the world here, downtown
Vancouver is only 5km away as the
crow fl ies.
FALSE CREEK
False Creek is located south of down-
town Vancouver and, like Burrard
Inlet, stretches far inland. The presence
of both water and a railroad induced
a large number of sawmills to set up
shop in this area in the early 20th cen-
tury. These mills gradually fi lled in a
portion of False Creek, leaving only a
narrow channel to provide them with
the water needed for sawing. Over the
