The gradual disappearance of trad-
itional grounds has given rise to ag-
gressive territorial claims in most of
Canada's provinces. With the help of
the Assembly of First Nations, made up
of several band chiefs, the First Nations
are trying to advance their cause with
government authorities, both federal
and provincial.
