When you export the report in the PDF format, the report appears in the browser in
PDF format. If you are trying to export it to Excel, you get the following message in
the IE. This will appear differently in other browsers:
On the other hand, if it is in the Word format, you will get the following message
at the bottom of the browser screen. You need to remove appropriate comments
in the code for rendering into the desired format.
This completes the exercise to invoke the ReportExecution2005 API to export a
report to a different format.
Reporting Services in SharePoint Integrated
mode
In the SharePoint Integrated mode with the Reporting Services add-in installed,
a set of proxies are installed on the SharePoint Server. These endpoints are the
primary APIs for developing reporting services solutions. The add-in manages the
exchange of credentials between SPS and the RS in a trusted authentication mode.
