Summary
In this chapter, Data Alerts, the new feature in SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services,
was described. The hands-on exercises give a flavor of tasks that you can work on
and the troubleshooting gives you a practical way of looking at the alerts you create
and how they were processed. Since you create data alerts in SharePoint server, it is
very important to configure the duo, SharePoint Server/Report Server, correctly.
In the next chapter, we will look at some of the programming interfaces available
to work with Reporting Services in both modes. For Report Server Management
in SharePoint integrated mode, Power Shell appears to be well positioned.
