15. Double-click the map to display the Map Layers menu as shown in the
following screenshot:
16. Click on the New Layer Wizard . The New Map Layer page is displayed.
17. Click on SQL Server Spatial Gallery and then click on Next .
The other way to get data into your report is via
ESRI Shapefile. Follow the link on the New Map
Layer page for more info.
18. The New Map Layer wizard's Choose a dataset with SQL Server spatial
data page appears. At the very bottom, click on Add a new dataset with
SQL Server Spatial data .
19. Click on Next .
20. The New Map Layer wizard's Choose a connection to a SQL Server
spatial data source page appears. Click on New .
21. The Data Source Properties page is displayed. Create a connection
with the following information:
° embedded or shared: embedded
° Connection type: MS SQL Server
° Connection string: Data Source=HODENTEKWIN7\\KAILUA;Initial
Catalog=AdventureWorks2012
22. Test the connection using the button and click on OK .
23. You are back in the New Map Layer wizard's connection page.
Note that the name of connection embedded is DataSource1 (default)

Click on Next . The Design a query page of the New Map Layer
wizard appears.
