Note that the preceding report has a @CategoriesCategoryID parameter
(review the query earlier), which takes integer values. When you run the
report (hit F5 ) you can change the parameter and see what is displayed
for those values. The first time it shows a value for the parameter=1.
Making background-color of alternate rows different
When a report consists of a large number of rows of data close together, it will be
nice to have alternate rows highlighted in some way. This is usually achieved by
making the background color of alternate rows gray. This can be implemented by
conditionally formatting the background color of data rows.
1.
Click on View and place a check mark for Properties . This is needed so that
we can set the properties for the table rows.

Choose the entire row of data whose background color needs to be changed
as shown in the following screenshot:

In the properties of rows, type the following expression in the background
color's Fill field as shown or you can invoke the Expression builder to build
this statement.
