Click on
Build...
to create a connection string. The
Connection Properties
page is displayed.

Make changes to the window as described. We use the SQL Server 2012
named
KAILUA
and the
Northwind
database. You may verify that the
connection is successful. Set the following values in the fields:

Data source
:
Microsoft SQL Server (SqlClient)
°
Server name
(choose from drop-down):
HodentekWin7\KAILUA
°
Log on to the server
:
Use Windows authentication
°
Connect to a database
(Choose from drop-down):
Northwind
8. Click on
Test Connection
to test your connection.
9. Click on
OK
and it is updated in the
Data Source Properties
page as shown:
10. Click on the
Credentials
page on the left side on the
Data Source Properties
window. The
Credentials
page is displayed with a single option, namely,
Use current Windows user
,
Kerberos delegation may be required
.
Note the couple of options and the message "
This information
is only stored when the report is saved to the report server
".
