2. Log on to Reporting Services Server in SSMS.

3. Under Security node right-click on the Roles node and click on New Role... .

4. The user role properties appears as shown in the following screenshot.

Fill in the details as shown here. The user with the role Navigate can
only view reports.

5. Click on OK . The role gets into the RS Server database shown earlier.
6. Open Report Manager (you may need to open IE with Run as
Administrator ) and assign the role Navigate to the Windows
User , Navigator . (Click on Folder Settings in HOME .)
