So it's a tradeoff between MTTR and system performance. In
order to disable fast-start check pointing set
FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET to zero then the check points
will occurs as normal.
The same Recovery Settings page provides us the control for
running the database either in ARCHIVELOG mode or
NOARCHIVELOG Mode. Moreover, we can also define the
archive log destinations as shown in Figure 10-62.

In the lower section of Recovery Settings page we can control
the parameters related to Flash Recovery Area. You can define
the location for Flash Recovery Area and then set its size as well.
