Turn and Edit Tri(angulation)
I keep telling you that everything is made up of triangles, and
now you get to see how this comes into play. Create a sphere
and make it into an Editable Poly object once again. Click the
Edge sub-object button and then click the Edit Tri button.
There you are! Now you can see every edge that actually
exists. The edges that are shown by default are the edges that
really matter, but sometimes triangulation comes into play,
especially when you are doing a low-polygon model. The dot-
ted lines are hidden edges that make up all of your triangles,
and the true edges are solid.

For high-polygon modeling you won't really need to worry
about triangulation, but here are some examples in case you
are interested in low-polygon modeling. If you're only inter-
ested in high-polygon modeling, you can skip this section if
you like.
