Let us stress, therefore, that the
results
of a specific analytical operation are
defined by so-called
schemas of indexing
. As laid out in Chapter 1 (section 1.4), the
term “indexation” must be understood here in a very broad sense, i.e. in terms of
any
concrete result
, of the
physicaloutput from an analysis
in the form, for example, of
keywords, paragraphs of text, visual icons, acoustic jingles, digital data, geo-
location data, terms belonging to a terminology or a thesaurus, etc.
