The second activity making up the task of controlled description (Figure 10.1),

is optional. As we saw in the previous
chapter, it enables the analyst to further explicitize the peculiarities of a subject
developed in an audiovisual text, in the form (for example) of personal comments,
additional information, etc.
Let us examine a concrete example (see Figure 10.1): if, in an interview with a
specialist in native American languages, the language
