Figure6.6. Temporallocationbyperiodofaknowledgeobject
thematizedinanaudiovisualcorpus
Figure 6.6 shows an extract from a model of description* , which we use to
identify the periods and precise dates of an academic event (a conference, a seminar,
etc.). Here, for illustrative purposes, the temporal location sequence entitled
“Period and dates” is uncharacteristically placed in second position, just after the
sequence of description of the knowledge object “Academic or pedagogical event”.
The sequence in question has a generalstructure (it can be used to temporally locate
any event, any activity for which we know the exact dates of the beginning and the
end) and is perfectly simple to employ. However, using it presupposes that the
analyst knows the precise dates of an event thematized in an audiovisual text.
