After successful installation, Eclipse will ask you to restart for the changes to take effect.
After restarting Eclipse, you can see a new AWS toolkit for Eclipse icon . The de-
fault Eclipse perspective will be Java. To open the perspective to work with DynamoDB,
select
Window
|
Open Perspective
; it must show the first two perspectives as shown in
the following screenshot. Double-click on
AWS Management
to begin our work.
While working in the management console, we must login with our AWS username and
password. However, in the case of the Eclipse plugin, we need to specify a few more at-
tributes (such as
Access Key ID
and
Secret Access Key
, which can be obtained from the
management console's
Security Credentials
page) for authentication. We can specify our
account details by clicking on the AWS toolkit for Eclipse icon and selecting the
Prefer-
ences
option.
