Problem statement - 5
The application was a great success and reached 1 million users within the first two and a
half months, so the company had to scramble to meet the demand. In the beginning, the
company experienced scaling issues because of the way they designed the application.
However, AWS gives us the right building blocks. It was confusing for the company to
design correctly and build the system in a correct way. They struggled with a lot of manual
work to optimize the relational database service to serve their users on a massive scale.
Solution
When Amazon DynamoDB became available on the market, the company's technical team
built new storage-dependent infrastructure components on DynamoDB for their application
to take advantage of the highly scalable database service. The given architecture diagram
was the proposed success solution:
