7. Configure the notification action using SNS for AWS Data Pipeline, which must
be performed based on the outcome of the activity.
To configure SNS, go through the following steps that will be helpful for your configura-
tion:
1. On the Data Pipeline page, on the right-hand side pane, click on
Others
.
2. On the
Others
pane, go to
LateSnsAlarmsection
, and in
Arn
, enter the ARN of
your Amazon SNS topic that you have already created.
3. In the same way, you should create notifications for
FailureSnsAlarm
and
Suc-
cessSnsAlarm
.
4. Validate your configuration and settings, and proceed further by clicking on
Activate
.
5. You will get a confirmation box similar to the following screenshot:
6. Monitor the progress of your pipeline using the console by clicking on
View in-
stance details
.
7. Verify your data import process. For verification, open the DynamoDB console
and on the
Tables
screen, click on the DynamoDB table, and then click on the
Explore
button.
On the
Browse Items
tab, columns that correspond to the data input file should
be displayed.
Now you have successfully completed the importing process, and in the same way, you
can start exporting the pipeline on your own, because all the steps are very similar to the
import process.
